Course Details:
HeartCodeTM ACLS Part 1 is a web based e-learning product that uses eSimulation technology to present realistic patient scenarios for the ACLS cases. While interacting with the program, students assess each patient, formulate a treatment plan based upon current AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC, and provide treatment. In addition, the team dynamics lesson and written test are required for completion of Part 1. Successful completion of the online cognitive component (part 1), paired with skills verification (part 2 – practice and part 3, testing) meets the requirements for the issuing of an AHA ACLS Provider course completion card to the participant. Practice and testing sessions can be provided by an AHA ACLS Instructor or a HeartCodeTM voice-assisted manikin system (VAM). HeartCodeTM ACLS Part 1 is approved by the Accreditation Department for Continuing Education for Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Pharmacists, and EMS Providers by their respective credentialing bodies (ACCME, AACN, ACPE, and CECBEMS).
