The intention is to make this course more convenient for: workers in industry and manufacturing, occupational health, property management, hospitality, health and fitness, child care, schools, maintenance, security, state corrections facilities and tattoo design.
Course Description
The Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens internet-based program is 1 – 1 ½ hours in length and allows participants train at their own pace anytime and anywhere there is internet access. Through online content and interactive activities, this course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. The course uses the PACT acronym and slogan to help students learn and retain what to do when there is danger of or has been exposed to bloodborne pathogens in the workplace. This course may be used as a stand-alone course or as an add-on to first aid or CPR training. This course covers: the definition of bloodborne pathogens and how they are spread, how to protectoneselft from exposure, how to clean oneself and the area of exposure, and how to report any exposure to blood or blood containing materials in the workplace. Provides participants with a certificate of completion when all modules have been successfully completed all modules. This program is both PC and MAC® compatible. Registration and Course Fees
Pre-registration and payment in U.S. Funds is required for this course. Fee includes the AHA Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens Online Course access key. Upon registration and payment confirmation Benchmark will issue the registrant the necessary information to complete the online course. 1) Register using the Registration page. 2) Submit payment through the Courses Offered page.
