EMT-Basic, EMT-IV, EMT-Intermediate, and EMT-Paramedic Refresher Courses
Course Information
These courses are pre-approved
for the stated number of Continuing Education Hours (CEH) by the Continuing Education Coordinating
Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS), the national
accrediting body for EMS continuing education courses and course providers. Certificates issued may be accepted by the
National Registry and most state EMS agencies.
Course Prerequisites: Current EMT license or successful completion of a State approved EMT-Basic/IV/Intermediate or EMT-Paramedic program.
Intended Audience: Providers needing Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to meet state
license renewal or National Registry re-registration requirements or those needing remediation or a refresher course
to reattempt licensure. State/National First Responders may take the EMT-Basic/IV Refresher Course for Continuing
Education Hour credits toward certification renewal.
Course Details
These courses are conducted within the current guidelines as published by the National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration (NHTSA). Course completion verification may be used for continuing education units (CEU) towards
state license renewal and national registry re-registration. The EMT-B/IV Refresher course includes AHA BLS (CPR) Healthcare
renewal. The EMT-Paramedic Refresher course includes the AHA BLS (CPR) Healthcare Provider and AHA ACLS Provider renewal.
Course Fees
Pre-registration is required for either course and course fees
include: AHA BLS (CPR) Healthcare Provider course completion card, AHA ACLS course card and State required letter, a
nationally recognized certificate of course completion, and a any other post course documentation applicable for topics
which may be covered from time to time.
