Nationally accredited courses through CAPCE (CECBEMS) and accepted hour-for-hour by most state EMS agencies and the NREMT.
VILT continuing education cannot be used for verification of skills competency. Skills competency demonstration, practice, and verification must be performed in an instructor led, face-to-face environment.
VILT EMR Refresher
These courses can be taken as blocks depending on subject, in 2, 3, or 4 hour modules. There are multiple offerings of each subject to better suit your needs. The topic list may change depending on the NREMT schedule. Current topics include: Airway, Cardiovascular, Trauma, Medical, Operations, Additional ALS for the AEMT, Ethics/Professionalism, Medical/Legal.
Functioning as a crucial part of EMS response, the EMR performs lifesaving interventions while awaiting additional EMS response and assists higher level personnel at the scene and during transport. This 14 hour course is based on EMS standards and scope of practice. Topics include: Preparatory, Cardiac, Medical, Trauma, OB/GYN, Infants, Pediatrics.
