COVID-19 Statement
Exposure to COVID-19, as with any other virus, is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention, senior citizens and those with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. We cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during or as a result of participating in our in-person courses. Therefore, by participating in an in-person class you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
Our on-site courses may be modified if the State of Tennessee enacts restrictive measures that would prohibit us from fulfilling in-person course completion whether whole or in part. Benchmark will abide by TN laws in effect at the time of the course.
Some of the precautions implemented for our on-site courses include touchless temperature checks upon entry, self-screening guide, limitation of on-site participants. alcohol-based hand gel at each table, and reduced skill contact. In accordance with the current CDC mask guidance, in areas of substantial or high liklihood of COVID-19 transmission, particpants are encouraged to wear face coverings in all indoor areas, regardless of vaccination status.

CAPCE ACCREDITED COURSES
By participating in an activity approved by Benchmark Medical Services, LLC, an organization accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE), the national accrediting body charged with the review and accreditation of EMS continuing education (CE), I understand and agree that my course completion records may be accessed by or shared with such regulators as state EMS offices, training officers, and NREMT on a password-protected need-to-know basis. In addition, I understand that I may review my record of CAPCE-accredited course completions by contacting CAPCE.
COURSE COMPLETION
Course completion is defined as: The participant successfully demonstrated the core knowledge on the said date and Benchmark, its faculty, staff, assistants, and agents neither implicitly nor explicitly guarantees any degree of future performance. Therefore, by participating in a Benchmark activity, the participant hereby holds harmless and forever discharge Benchmark, its volunteers, employees, agents, representatives, and licensees, from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I or any respective heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns have or may have resulting by reason of participating in a Benchmark activity. The participant furthermore agrees and understands that comprehension and performance is an individual responsibility; that Benchmark does not license or certify individuals in skills or procedures; and that the participant must adhere to local standing orders, protocols, or other medical direction, and within the individual's scope of practice.
COURSE COMPLETION DOCUMENTATION REPLACEMENT POLICY
Post-course documentation is emailed to the email address of record. Post-course documentation is presumed to have been received unless returned. A replacement fee of $25.00 per document will be assessed for any reason other than an error on our part.
PRIVACY NOTICE
Submission of information will be retained for course attendance, participation, and reporting as may be required by the course sponsor and or distributor of continuing medical education credits. This information may be used to notify the participant of future continuing education or training opportunities. Benchmark makes reasonable attempts to protect participant personal information submitted against public inspection and disclosure absent a subpoena or for the purposes of health oversight activities. Benchmark reserves the right to use a participant's information for Benchmark only marketing purposes unless the participant opts out of such contact during the registration process.
REFUNDS / CANCELLATIONS
- No refunds for classes will be considered after course registration has closed or if the request is received within ten days of the course start date.
- Registration fees minus a fifty percent (50%) cancellation fee will be assessed for Benchmark approved cancelation requests.
- There are no refunds or credit for registration and credit card processing fees.
- There are no refunds for online accessed courses or materials. (ex. AHA Courses and ITLS Pre-Course)
- Benchmark reserves the right to implement policy on a case by case basis for circumstances not addressed herein.
Optional Refresher Course Add-Ons
The following courses may be added to any refresher course and at steeply discounted rates. These offerings are NOT reguired but are available for refresher participants wanting or needing additional continuing education hours (CEH). Dates are commensurate with the refresher course you select. These courses at these prices are only available when taken as an add-on to a concurrent refresher course. Registration for these offerings can only be completed during the refresher registration process or on-site, if space is available.
