25-Hour EMT Recertification Course

  • CAPCE F2 Approved, NREMT NCCP 2025 Compliant
  • Provides 25.0 of the 20.0 hours required to renew TN EMT Basic, including CPR and the TN pediatric hours requirement.
  • Provides 25.0 of the 25.0 hours required to renew AEMT in TN, including CPR and the TN pediatric hours requirement
  • For those with NREMT EMT Basic, this course provides all 20.0 hours in the National Component plus 5.0 hours that can be applied to either the local/state or individual component.
  • Those with NREMT AEMT may need to register for the AEMT 36.0 hour course. 
  • Participants of the 25.0 hour course have the option of adding ITLS (16.0 hours) and Pediatric ITLS (8.0 hours) during the  registration process.
  • This course is designed for those who possess, who are challenging, who need remediation to re-take state or NREMT EMT (Basic) license/certification, or for those who need 25.0 hours of continuing education hours (CEH) 
  • Utilizing current, innovative educational delivery methods, this course is based upon the NREMT's NCCP 2025 for the EMT.
  • This is NOT an "upgrade" course from EMT to AEMT
  • This course alone may not qualify individuals to reinstate state or NREMT EMT certification.  Contact your State EMS office or NREMT for specific requirements
  • Nationally accredited CAPCE approved course for 25.0 hours at the Advanced Level: #24-BENC-F2-5002

  • TN EMS course approval number is distributed at the course.
  • On-site courses include AHA Basic Life Support (CPR) Update (renewal); EMT Basic and AEMT skills sessions; CISM/CISD SIDS, PTSD, Human Trafficking Awareness and Domestic Violence Updates.

Optional Recertification Course Add-Ons


Additional Continuing Education Hours (CEH) can be added to any recertification course at discounted rates. These optional add-ons are not required or stand-alone courses. Their dates align with the selected recertification course. These rates are exclusively available as part of a concurrent recertification course. Registration for these add-ons can be completed during the recertification course registration process or on-site, subject to availability.

Communicable Disease / Virus Transmission

Exposure to infectious diseases or viruses is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present. Some diseases are more contagious than others and can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and those with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. Benchmark Medical Services, LLC, its agents, members, contractors, suppliers, and guests cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed to infectious diseases or viruses during or as a result of participating in the on-site courses we provide. Therefore, by participating in an in-person class and any events, classes, or courses related to one of our in-person classes, you voluntarily assume all risks of exposure to any infectious disease or virus to which you may become exposed. You thereby permanently hold harmless Benchmark, its volunteers, employees, agents, representatives, members, contractors, suppliers, and guests from all claims, demands, and causes of action which you or any respective heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns have or may have resulting from your voluntary participation.


AHA Disclaimer

The American Heart Association (AHA) strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials. Using these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the Association.


CAPCE Accredited Courses 

By participating in an activity approved by Benchmark Medical Services, LLC, an organization accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE), participants understand that as a requirement of CAPCE accreditation, Benchmark Medical Services, LLC will submit a record of the individual's course completions to the CAPCE AMS. The participant further understands that the individual's course completion records may be accessed by or shared with such regulators as state EMS offices, training officers, and NREMT on a password-protected need-to-know basis. In addition, the participant understands that the individual may review their record of CAPCE-accredited course completion records by contacting CAPCE.

 

Course Completion 

Course completion is the participant successfully demonstrating the core knowledge on the specified date. Benchmark, its faculty, staff, assistants, and agents neither implicitly nor explicitly guarantee any degree of future performance. Therefore, by participating in a Benchmark activity, the participant holds harmless and forever discharges Benchmark, its volunteers, employees, agents, representatives, and licensees from all claims, demands, and causes of action which they or any respective heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns have or may have as a result of participating in a Benchmark activity. The participant further agrees and understands that comprehension and performance are individual responsibilities. Benchmark does not license or certify individuals in skills or procedures, and the participant must adhere to local standing orders, protocols, or other medical directions within their scope of practice.


Course Completion Documentation Replacement Policy

Post-course documentation is emailed to the email address on record. Unless returned, it is presumed to have been received. Benchmark will not accept responsibility for emails not received. A replacement fee of $25.00 per document will be assessed for any reason other than an error on our part.


Privacy Policy 

Information will be retained for course attendance, participation, and reporting as may be required by the course sponsor or distributor of Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits. This information may also be used to notify the participant of future continuing education or training opportunities. Benchmark makes reasonable attempts to protect participants' personal information submitted against public inspection and disclosure, except in the case of a subpoena or for health oversight activities. Benchmark reserves the right to use a participant's information for Benchmark-only marketing purposes unless the participant opts out of such contact during registration.

Refunds / Cancellations  

  • No refunds will be considered after course registration has closed or if the request is received within ten (10) days of the course start date.
  • Registration fees, minus a 50% cancellation fee, will be assessed for Benchmark-approved cancellation requests.
  • No refunds or credits for CVENT registration or credit card processing fees will be provided.
  • There are no refunds for courses or materials that are accessible online (e.g., AHA Courses and ITLS Pre-Course).
  • Benchmark reserves the right to implement policy on a case-by-case basis for circumstances not addressed herein.
