36-Hour NREMT AEMT Recertification Course

Innovative Curriculum

Our recertification format is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their field. The course objectives align with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) Model 2025. We stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies by utilizing peer-reviewed evidence-based guidelines to ensure the most relevant information is presented.

Tennessee EMS Stipend Eligible

Benchmark’s training meets the requirements outlined in Public Chapter No. 372 of the Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 68, Chapter 140, Part 3, as amended, effective January 1, 2024. 


Because this course is CAPCE Accredited, it is state-approved, which qualifies the hours earned for the State EMS Incentive Pay Program if the participant is eligible to receive the stipend. Participants are responsible for submitting all required documentation to their employer in accordance with both employer and state deadlines. 

  • CAPCE F2 Approved, NREMT NCCP 2025 Compliant
  • Provides 36 of the 25 hours required to renew the AEMT license in Tennessee, including CPR and the Tennessee pediatric hours requirement.
  • Provides 36 of the 50 hours required to renew NREMT AEMT using the NCCP 2025 Model renewal process. 
  • This course provides all 25.0 hours in the National Component plus 11.0 hours that can be applied to the local/state or individual component.
  • During registration, participants in the 36-hour course can add ITLS (16 hours) and Pediatric ITLS (8 hours).
  • This course is designed for those who possess, are challenging, or need remediation for NREMT AEMT registration or those who need 36 hours of continuing medical education.
  • This is NOT an "upgrade" course from EMT to AEMT.
  • This course alone may not qualify individuals to reinstate their state or NREMT AEMT certification.  Contact your State EMS office or NREMT for specific requirements.
  • This nationally accredited CAPCE F2 course is approved for 36 hours at the Advanced level: #24-BENC-F2-5003.

  • This course includes renewal of the American Heart Association's Basic Life Support CPR.  
  • This course includes basic and advanced skills sessions, CISM/CISD, SIDS, PTSD, Vanessa K. Free annual requirement, Human Trafficking Awareness, and Domestic Violence updates.
  • Additional information is distributed upon receipt of completed registration.

Optional Recertification Course Add-Ons

These additional courses can be added to any recertification course at discounted rates for additional Continuing Education Hours (CEH). These optional add-ons are not required or stand-alone courses. Their dates align with the selected recertification course. These rates are exclusively available as part of a concurrent recertification course. Registration for these add-ons can be completed during the recertification course registration process or on-site, subject to availability.

Participation in any in‑person course inherently carries the risk of exposure to infectious diseases or viruses. Some illnesses are highly contagious and may result in severe outcomes, including hospitalisation or death. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notes that older adults and individuals with underlying medical conditions face increased vulnerability.

By attending an in‑person class or any associated activity, you voluntarily assume all risks of exposure to infectious diseases or viruses.

By participating, you agree to release and hold harmless Benchmark Medical Services, LLC, and its volunteers, employees, agents, representatives, members, contractors, suppliers, and guests from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action—whether by you or your heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns—arising from or related to your voluntary participation.


AHA Disclaimer

The American Heart Association (AHA) strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials. Using these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of the fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the Association.


CAPCE Accredited Courses 

By participating in an activity approved by Benchmark Medical Services, LLC, an organisation accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE), participants understand that, as a requirement of CAPCE accreditation, Benchmark Medical Services, LLC will submit a record of the individual's course completions to the CAPCE AMS. The participant further understands that the individual's course completion records may be accessed by or shared with such regulators as state EMS offices, training officers, and NREMT on a password-protected need-to-know basis. In addition, the participant understands that they may review their CAPCE-accredited course completion records by contacting CAPCE.

 

Course Completion 

Course completion reflects only that the participant successfully demonstrated the required core knowledge on the specified date. Benchmark Medical Services, LLC, and its faculty, staff, assistants, and agents make no implicit or explicit guarantees regarding future performance or competency. By participating in any Benchmark activity, the participant agrees to hold harmless and forever discharge Benchmark Medical Services, LLC, and its volunteers, employees, agents, representatives, and licensees from all claims, demands, or causes of action—whether by the participant or their heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns—arising from or related to participation in a Benchmark activity. The participant further acknowledges that comprehension, skill retention, and performance are individual responsibilities. Benchmark does not license or certify participants in any skills or procedures. Participants must follow their local standing orders, protocols, and medical direction and act strictly within their authorized scope of practice.


Course Completion Documentation Replacement Policy

Post-course documentation is emailed to the email address on record. Unless returned, it is presumed to have been received. Benchmark will not accept responsibility for emails not received. A replacement fee of $25.00 per document will be assessed for any reason other than an error on our part.


Privacy Policy 

Information will be retained for course attendance, participation, and reporting as may be required by the course sponsor or distributor of Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits. This information may also be used to notify the participant of future continuing education or training opportunities. Benchmark makes reasonable attempts to protect participants' personal information from public inspection and disclosure, except in response to a subpoena or for health oversight activities. Benchmark reserves the right to use a participant's information for Benchmark-only marketing purposes unless the participant opts out of such contact during registration.

Refunds and Cancellations

• No refunds will be issued after course registration has closed or if the request is received within ten (10) days of the course start date.

• Approved cancellations will receive a refund of registration fees minus a 50% cancellation fee.

• CVENT registration fees and credit card processing fees are non‑refundable.

• No refunds are provided for online-accessible courses or materials (e.g., AHA Courses, ITLS Pre‑Course).

• Benchmark Medical Services, LLC reserves the right to address circumstances not covered by this policy on a case‑by‑case basis.
